Touching Freedom was named #1 of the Swedish critics’ list

On February 10, Touching freedom premiered in Swedish cinemas, and 10 days later was named #1 of the Swedish critics’ list of new films in the cinema

In the documentary Touching freedom, we meet two Kurdish students, Jenkidar and Hussein, who are both studying political science in Beirut. In October 2014, IS carries out an aggressive attack and takes control of their hometown of Kobane. Jenkidar and Hussein decide to go there and fight for Kurdish independence, using the camera as a weapon. In February 2015, the residents have recaptured Kobane, but many family members and friends have lost their lives and their hometown is in ruins. The film is directed by Manal Masri. Magnus Jarlbo has composed the original music. On the title and ending sequence, violinist Pedram Shahlai plays.
